First, we would like to say that your first visit here at Gaston Family Chiropractic will most likely be different than any doctors that you have been too. We pride ourselves in the fact that our doctors take extra time to truly listen to you and your symptoms so that the doctors can understand you condition fully and therefore prescribe the best treatment for relief possible.

We also perform and examination to determine the unerlying cause of your symptoms. The examination is not painful, and does not usually require you to undress. It can include chiropractic, orthopedic, and neurological testing. Sometimes it is necessary to x-ray the problem area to obtain more helpful information. The examination, along with the case history, will determine if you are a canididate for help with our types of services and care. If the doctor feels that he can help you, he will make the appropiate reccomendations and will usually begin treatment right then. The treatment consists of conservative care for patient comfort. Of course, any time you work on a painful area, there is the possibility of irritation. Be sure you discuss with the doctor any concerns, previous experiences, or preferences, because with their many years of experience (40+ years combined) either of the doctors usually perform a relaxing treatment on any condition or on the very nervous patient. There really is no patient or condition that can't, at least, get some kind of care or relief. If any time the doctors feel that they cannot help you, they will make a referral to another appropriate healthcare professional.

At the end of you first visit, our goal is for you to at least feel some relief. Some home reccomendations may be made, and if necessary, a follow up visit may be scheduled. If there are any services that are not covered by your insurance, these fees are usually collected, unless otherwise discussed. Fortunately, most insurances cover most if not all services we perform. If you have limited or no insurance, you will find our fees very reasonable and customary.
